Punit & Ruby had me shoot their three day event and, like most 3 day events, it was like running a marathon! Jobs like this are a huge reason why I make myself workout and stay in shape!
I do wonder how the bride and groom can handle it. These quick previews of Ruby in the morning and Punit’s baraat were taken at 8am in the morning, which means she had probably been up since 4 or 5am! I shot until midnight so I know these two must have been there for at least an hour after me!
These quick morning portraits of Ruby were taken at the Hilton Rosemont, and Punit’s baraat images were taken en route to the Rosemont Donald E. Stephens Convention Center.

Monica & Nawwar were such an inspiration to photograph. Their wedding was incredibly intimate and personal.
With their union they also tied their 4 children into a new family unit, and to witness this was so precious to me.

After the morning portraits with one another and with their children, we headed to The Weathervane for a gorgeous outdoor ceremony!
They are such a tender couple, I loved the emotion of them greeting their children after the ceremony!
The reception was very tasteful, literally! Nawwar’s groom cake was a stack of gourmet cheeses!
Congratulations to both of you, it was such a pleasure to spend the day with you!

I was recently hired to create a new headshot for Morley Robbins, AKA Magnesium Man!
Head shots are a quick and simple portrait shoot, this session was wrapped up in a half an hour or less.
The creative directors at asked me to create some images that had a feel of “serious, credible, and friendly.”
That was a fairly simple assignment since Mr. Robbins is all of the above; Serious and credible about health, and very friendly (with a dash of silly) in person!
I highly recommend reading up on his informative website. I consider myself a health nut (or maybe more of just a regular nut) and I learned a lot!

Sunny & Tania chose Adler Planetarium as the primary location for their engagement shoot, and it’s a spot that I highly recommend if you are in love with the Chicago skyline!
It was a surprisingly blustery evening, so after about 20 minutes by the lake we had to head inland to get away from the wind. We drove to Union Station and got some lovely evening shots in the city.

The Anti-Defamation League of Chicago recently asked me to come into their office to shoot headshots of their staff for a project they were working on. They didn’t want the typical “business as usual” portraits though! We mixed in a bit of smiles, straight faces and pizazz into each staff members 5 minute photo session.

Amee & Carlton hired me to photograph their engagement portraits, the night before the eloped in Chicago! Their drive from out of state took longer than expected, so it was late evening before they arrived. The fog rolled in with quite a temper that night, but I was fortunate to get a few foggy shots before the thunder cracked down!
This first set was taken outside the Adler Planetarium. It was so foggy you could not see the water or the skyline of Chicago.
These two were so stylish!
This was the reflection on the planetarium glass door. what a beautiful evening.
Normally you can see the entire city of Chicago from this perspective!
Once the thunder and lightening cracked down, they made a quick change into their wedding outfits and we drove to cover!
Love sessions just might be my new passion. Am I aloud to have several passions?
What is a love session?
It is a portrait session for a couple AFTER their wedding.
After the rush. After they settle. After they’ve had some trials and after they’ve found support in one another.
I enjoyed recording what Nikki & Pete’s love looked like after they had some time to learn more about one another after marriage.
I am even more in love with them now!
