Thai Ventures! Day 1 in Bangkok!

Some good friends of mine were married this past January in Thailand, and I was so blessed to have the opportunity to travel over there to witness it!

I love traveling but made sure to travel light.

My packing list for Thailand included:

one camera body, one lens: CHECK!

super mod hipster blue blockers: CHECK!

homeopathic jet lag pills: CHECK!

Ridiculously attractive traveling companion who can double as airplane pillow and body guard: CHECK!

We arrived early to adjust to the time change.

The cars run on propane in Bangkok, for the most part, so the air was very clean!

We walked around our first day to get our bodies used to the time change, this park was a short walk from our hotel.

I like this story.

I saw this body guard for hire, but luckily I had already brought mine along. It's much more affordable that way.

These bunnies were so adorable and I got so excited when I saw them on the street market!

Then I realized they weren't being sold as pets . . .

Choose your food wisely! There were just some quick pics from my first day in Bangkok, I will put some more up very soon! What an adventure!!

Just a quick note to thank Wow & Mike for having me as a guest at their wedding! Thailand is amazing! Penny you looked like a flower and Mike you looked like a movie star! Love you both and can’t wait to see you here in Krabi!

As winter finally hits Chicago I am taking off to go to a wedding of two dear friends in Thailand!

So if you are trying to contact me by phone or email, please be patient. Unfortunately I won’t have much access to email as I tour the islands, temples, go kayaking, rock climbing, and tiger petting.

My Epic adventure begins January 17 and ends on January 27! I will respond to you as I am able!

This past year has been a JAM PACKED year of non-stop love and I hope all of you are celebrating by expressing your love today! I want to thank all my clients from the past 12 months who hired me to record their love! St. Valentine was martyred for protesting a ban on marriage, and his stance on love and commitment has lived on for centuries! Whether you are married or not, today is a perfect day to practice your freedom to express your love!

The Swamps of Editin

Before some of you begin to wonder if I’ve taken a permanent leave of absence from blogging . . .

The answer is absolutely not! Just stuck in the mire swamps of editing and the delightful adventures of a traveling shooter!

As usual I have been shooting all over the place and my blog always takes second place to delivering to clients, this is why you all love me, right?

I am traveling a minimum of 4 hours every weekend until mid-October but I will try my best to keep fresh work up on my blog, but keep an eye on my facebook fan page because I throw images up on it as I edit!

I guess I get to go all over the place, part of my job description. I have a hard time keeping up with my blog because of it!

Over the past year I have been to Malibu, CA, Minneapolis, MN, Chicago, New York City, Las Vegas, Naperville, Milwaukee, Streamwood, Oak Park, Pittsburgh, Myrtle Beach, Charlotte, Jefferson Landing, Raleigh, Wake Forest, Pinehurst, even the Red River Gorge!

So where am I right now?

Jekyll Island, GA. Tomorrow, actually today, I will photograph an EPIC wedding! Here are two cell phone photos from my travels in this evening!

Happy Mother’s Day all you wonderful mommies out there!

And to my mother, thank you so much for supporting me even when I do crazy things, I know you will always have my back!

Manhattan Masquerade

Well it always seems like amazing things happen to me when I travel. People always take very good care of me, and honestly sometimes I must admit, I feel a little spoiled. Last weekend my flight was canceled to New York City because of all the crazy weather sweeping the nation. I jumped online and grabbed a last minute ticket before they all disappeared! Now instead of getting in Friday around midnight, I would get in at 5pm. What is a girl to do? Well Sven was awesome enough to invite me to to to a masquerade birthday party for two friends of his that night!

The party was at Agozar Cuban Restaurant and it was PACKED!

The masks were custom made by one of the Italian sisters whose birthday it was.

Confetti EVERYWHERE!!!

I met some great characters that I will not soon forget!

Now I can’t wait to see what adventures away me on my next trip!

Hitting the Rocks with Friends!

As promised, I am back to blogging, and I have a TON to catch you all up with since I’ve been MIA for a couple of months!

Back in November I went climbing at The Red River Gorge in Kentucky!

August gets checked before his first climb on day 1. His shirt is just so appropriate :)
